We are celebrating our 20th year serving Seattle as an award-winning landscape design/build firm that does it all, from the first sketch to the final planting.

We take pride in the development of each team member and work hard to help them reach their personal and professional goals. Our team is the perfect size to keep projects personal while still showing up with enough horsepower (and expertise) to get it done right.
Beautiful, family-friendly spaces take both big ideas and the skill to get it right. We are committed to being your teammates and fellow dreamers in this work.

we believe
That’s why we’re dedicated to living wages, benefits, equal opportunity, and partnerships with local family-owned businesses. To us, success is when a team member can grow their family or buy a house and know they are stable and supported at work. A stable, motivated team means better care for your project, and stronger roots in our community.
We lead with these values on every project and have had the privilege of building and designing hundreds of pristine, luxury Seattle landscapes over the past 20 years. We would welcome the honor of building yours.

We listen to your dream and create your vision.

Beginning with an Industrial Design background, Gabe stepped into a sustainable design class one day that changed his career trajectory. Ecology and natural building fascinated and inspired him, and he hasn’t stopped talking about them since.
In 2006, Gabe founded Sage and Stone with the vision of creating sustainable solutions for Seattle landscapes that displayed incredible craftsmanship. He was focused on building spaces that grow community and memories, provide family wage jobs for local artisans, and honor the balance between beauty and ecology.

After a life-changing Stage IV lung cancer diagnosis in 2019, Gabe made a miraculous full recovery in just six months. That whirlwind experience refocused his priorities and renewed his sense of what matters most: health and people.
In both business and life, Gabe thrives on connection and the conviction that everyone is better off when we all lift each other up.
